acceptance test
Also known as: user acceptance test (UAT)
A customer test that the customer of the software plans to run to help them decide whether they will accept the software system. They are usually run manually after the automated customer tests have all passed. Acceptance tests exercise all the layers of the system right from the user interface all the way back to the database and should include any integration with other systems on which the application depends.
